Bono Creek to West End Park in Washburn is a 1 to 1 1/2 hour paddle. Paddle around "Aircraft Carrier Island" and look through "Spectacle Rock". See swallow nests, red clay cliffs and numerous rock formations along the way. Paddle by Thompson's Creek and stop at a sand bar to cool off. Customers have spotted eagles, loons and otters on this paddle.
Bay View Beach to Washburn is a 3 to 4 hour trip. This trip covers two distinct shorelines. From Bay View Beach to Houghton Point the shoreline is mostly sandy beach owned by the town of Bay View and the State of WI. As you approach the point, the land rises up to create interesting rock formations. From the point to Washburn the shoreline is mostly cliffs and small caves as well as some sandy coves and private beaches. Keep an eye out for eagles, loons and otters.
Bono Creek to Fish Creek in Ashland is a 3 to 4 hour paddle that starts amid red clay cliffs and gradually levels out as two creeks enter Lake Superior. Stop on a sand bar to cool off or photograph terns and sandpipers. Shore birds and waterfowl are abundant between Whittlesey Creek and Fish Creek.
